Horse riding is one of the very few sports which can be enjoyed from an early age right through to old age. Great enjoyment can be achieved throughout the process of learning to ride, along with all the health benefits that go with giving the rider a good sense of well-being, helping to keep fit and can be very rewarding progress is made. It is relaxing and blows the cobwebs away along with the stresses of the day and can have noticeable thereuputic benefits.

Sue Black, owner and instructor at the Andover Riding School is passionate about horse riding and teaching others to ride. She is looking forward to welcoming new clients to the new Andover Riding School, from nervous novice (which we understand and fully appreciate) through to being competent and secure in canter. All in a friendly, professional happy atmosphere.

Previously to the Andover Riding School, Sue ran and taught in two successful riding schools for over 15 years, one being an equestrian centre with a riding school and livery yard that also catered for riding holidays, riding for the disabled plus packages for clubs and schools. The centre also provided horse and carriage weddings but the a major highlight was the Kids Club where, in addition to the the riding side, she taught children about the care and welfare of looking after horses and ponies.

Some of her ex-clients have gone on to work in the horse industry including one who has gone on to become an International Groom. going to World Class Championships and more, whilst working for a well known professional dressage rider who was a member of the Spanish Olympic Team. In fact one of Sue's many clients has included a Prince!

Charity horse events were also held regularly at her equestrian centre with money being donated to numerous charities of the clients choice; this will continue as a feature of the Andover Riding School.
